Help Shape the Future of Brent’s Black Community Action Plan
Are you passionate about driving meaningful change and tackling inequality?
Do you bring lived experience, professional expertise, and a commitment to community-led progress?
Launched in 2020, the Black Community Action Plan (BCAP) is Brent Council’s 10-year commitment to addressing the structural inequalities disproportionately affecting Black communities. Following a recent community-led refresh of the Plan, Brent Council is recruiting a Chair and four Independent Members to join its Independent Advisory Steering Group (IASG) – a newly established body supporting the delivery of the BCAP 2025–2029.
The IASG will be responsible for ensuring accountability of the BCAP. It will help drive activity and evaluate delivery, attract and oversee project funding, provide insight, challenge and transparency and amplify community voices.
